C19th Prattware terracotta jug with pewter mount and lid.

This beautiful and striking example of Victorian terracotta features classical polychrome transfer designs, hand painted details and a mask at the base of handle.

In very good condition with one or two minor blemishes and one small chip to top of mask. Unlike many of these surviving earthenware jugs this example is complete with its original pewter mount and lid.
